Días de la semana (days of the week):

Meses del año (months of the year):

Fun facts:

  • Days of the week are masculine and normally carry an article in front. The same goes for the seasons.

El lunes es el mejor día para empezar a estudiar. (Monday is the best day to start studying.)

El invierno es la mejor estación para ir a esquiar. (Winter is the best season to go skiing.)

  • Months are masculine, but normally they do not carry an article.

Enero es el mejor mes para empezar a estudiar. (January is the best month to start studying.)

  • Months do carry an article when they are accompanied by an adjective.

El próximo enero empezaré a estudiar. (Next January I will start studying.)

  • As you can see, these words are lower-case unless they are at the beginning of a sentence.

Me gusta mucho agosto. (I like August a lot.)

Agosto es mi mes favorito. (August is my favorite month.)
